We have a diversified workforce across all age groups. In 2016, 85% of new recruits were from the millennials (born in 1978 or later). More than 40% of our current workforce now consists of millennials, injecting new ideas, enthusiasm, and energy to our organisation.
CDL has more females than males in both managerial and non-managerial categories – a testament to the company’s emphasis on gender diversity and the success of our pro-family initiatives.
In 2016, females in non-managerial were paid 96% and managerial* positions were paid 97% of the average pay of males, with female employees holding more of the junior positions within the Company.

Racial and Disability Inclusion
CDL embraces an inclusive workplace in our multi-racial workforce from diverse educational backgrounds. Our workforce is nonetheless heavier on number of Chinese employees as a reflection of Singapore’s predominantly Chinese population. Where possible, we also provide fair employment opportunities for the less physically-abled. As of 2016, CDL has a wheel-chair bound employee who has been with the company for 7 years.
